What I’ve realized about style is you acknowledge what you’re interested in and you focus on what you’re interested in and then you explode it. You make it larger by virtue of your focus of interest. So by not allowing yourself to have a style, you are essentially saying “Well I have to be interested in things I’m not really interested in.”
