Jack to the FutureJack in the BoxI lead the product design team as a player-coach, building the next generation of Jack’s app, web, kiosks, and internal tools.We've designed a lot of fun stuff at Jack in the Box in the past few years. I was brought on, along with a series of product hires to level up Jack's digital channel ownership and quality, by building our own apps and web, moving off of previously agency-led, whitelabel products. We redesigned the app and website in the first year, and have been improving it with customer input ever since. I love when we get to pull the brand into the app on top of the more purely functional e-commerce UI. Here's a little taste of some of my favorite elements the team and I have designed. Jack Box Talks, a voice & chat ordering prototype. Built using real public menu data, the Claude API, and an ElevenLabs voice trained on Jack Box's voice.

People accidentally order at the wrong store way more than you'd think. We made the map as obvious as possible with this confirmation step.

Added a video player to play our iconic advertising spots in the app.

We used Jack's face for the new app's app icon. Stood out way more on a homescreen than the red logo on white default.
